Unfortunately we have no policy in place so need to create one! I was wondering if anyone has a policy in place or knows of best practice within the charity sector when it comes to jury duty. We'd like to balance being fair to the employee with affordability for the charity if the trial drags on so any guidance would be most appreciated.
Non of us has been called for Jury Duty but just wondered what would be expected of us if you did get called for it. We wad having a discussion at work about Jury Duty and wondered what would be expected of an evening shift worker who works evenings 5-10.
Policy Details Jury duty service (with pay) should be approved immediately upon a staff member’s submission of an authentic summons, subpoena, or notice to a supervisor. Pay for each day of jury duty will be made at the staff member's current rate of pay for a regularly scheduled workday.
